What is Rigid-Flex PCB and When be used?
Rigid-flex board is a combination of two very important printed circuit boards: rigid printed circuit board (hard board) and flexible printed circuit board (FPC soft board), the English name is rigid-flex PCB. The circuits of the hard board part and the flex board part are interconnected by plated through holes. Rigid flex circuits offer higher component density and better quality control.
